Raccoon Circles are a collection of cooperative group activities that use a simple piece of tubular webbing (usually 15 to 20 feet in length) to promote teamwork, communication, and group problem-solving. Despite their simplicity, these activities are highly versatile and can be adapted for all ages and ability levels.
Participants engage in challenges that involve standing in, around, or interacting with the circle in creative ways—such as balancing, forming shapes, solving puzzles, or working together to complete tasks. Each activity encourages trust, listening, leadership, and group cohesion, while also providing opportunities for reflection and discussion.
Raccoon Circles are popular in experiential education because they’re portable, inclusive, and foster meaningful connections in a short amount of time.
